Jeep Wrangler to bring back tan Gobi Edition?

Jeep Wrangler and special editions go along like peanut butter and jelly on toast. Every year, the American brand comes up with many new trims for its star SUV, and sometimes they bring back the old special edition, which is always lovely.

Usually, nothing sounds more boring than a tan vehicle, but in the Wrangler case, it's different. This is why the tan Gobi Edition is back for 2022 as a limited run for the summer. However, this time, the Wrangler isn't the only vehicle offering it since the Gladiator pickup trucks will also be available in this tan finish.

Gobi Edition

The tan Gobi is the fifth special edition tint offered by Jeep for the Wrangler after Tuscadero Pink, Gecko Green, Nacho, and Chief. These, including the Gobi, aren't special editions since the only thing they offer is their color. However, they are provided in a limited time run, which makes them kinda special. Anyways, the Jeep Wrangler is already unique enough on its own.

The new tan Gobi tint will be available on Sport, Sahara, Mojave, Rubicon, 4xe, and 392 models.

Five different engine options

Depending on the version you are selecting, you can choose between up to five different powertrains, the first one being the classic 3.6-liter V6 producing 285 hp and 260 foot-pounds of torque. The second most common option is the 2.0 turbocharged four-cylinder that produces 270 hp and 295 foot-pounds of torque. The third option might not be available at the time you read these lines, but you can equip the Wrangler with a 3.0-liter diesel V6 with 260 hp and 442 foot-pounds of torque. The thing starts to get a lot more interesting with the 4xe version, which is powered by the combination of the 2.0 liters turbocharged four cylinders and electric motors for a total power of 375 hp and 470 foot-pounds of torque which is quite impressive. Finally, if you really want the craziest Jeep Wrangler ever made, there is the 392 version which is powered by a 470 hp and 470 foot-pounds of torque 6.4-liter V8. However, this version will only be available for one production year, maybe two.

A Colourful Vehicle

The Jeep Wrangler is known for its vivid color palette and more unorthodox tint such as tan, army green, or anything we are not used to seeing on a regular vehicle. However, sometimes, the American manufacturer goes even beyond this with crazy colors like Tuscadero Pink. I mean, to my knowledge, this is the only current production model to be available in a bright pink tint out from the factory without being a special request like you can do with Rolls Royce or other luxury brands. For 2022, the Jeep Wrangler also brings back tints like High-Velocity Yellow and Hydro Blue Pearl.

Jeep mentioned the 2023 model would get a new special edition and limited color series too. The least I can say is that I am very impatient to discover those new colors.
