The brand-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica minivan continues to accumulate the awards since its introduction, with WardsAuto magazine weighing in by bestowing it with a spot on its newly created Top 10 Best User Experience list.
Criteria for establishing the ranking revolved around a number of elements, such as ease of use, quality of the infotainment, sound and connectivity systems, presence of driver assistance and other cutting-edge safety technologies, system compatibility and materials used. 29 models in all were considered for the Top 10 list.
Evidently, the Pacifica was able to impress the WardsAuto editors, to the point where Tom Murphy, the magazine's senior editor, commented, "The Pacifica treats occupants of all ages, especially the young, like royalty." Pointing out the vehicle's near-infinite number of amenities designed to make family travel as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, he added that the days of children getting cabin fever may be over, "no matter how long the road trip. It's a family-friendly rolling entertainment center."
Chrysler was a pioneer and continues to be a leader in the family transportation domain, and the Pacifica is the proud inheritor of this legacy. Chrysler engineers focused on two key aspects of the ownership experience when designing the new Pacifica: Access to the latest technological advances and amenities, and user-friendliness and comfort.
Tech: at the Forefront
You could convincingly argue that no family vehicle has ever been as fully equipped as the new Pacifica with tech features that are designed to meet the needs of all family members. The brand-new Uconnect Theater entertainment system features two 10-inch touchscreen displays, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a BluRay player for the rear seats and much more; the driver has access to a full-colour 7-inch information display. Occupants can plug in their devices, browse online and stream content, all viewable on the two high-definition 10-inch screens.
Life Made Easy. and Safer
Chrysler included elements like a Keyless Enter 'n Go system, an available KeySense key fob for limiting speed and audio volume, hands-free sliding doors and liftgate (which respond to kicking motions under the sliding door or rear bumper), an Easy Tilt-equipped second row of seats and a host of driver-assist technologies like the forward Collision Warning-Plus and ParkSense rear park assist. Why? Because today's drivers expect nothing less than all the best and latest safety, comfort and convenience features available to be included in their family minivan. It's that simple.
Also available as options for the new 2017 Pacifica are such hard-to-resist goodies as a Stow 'n Vac integrated vacuum and Stow 'n Go seating and storage system (that has been retooled to make it even easier to use, and now comes with a Stow 'n Go Assist feature).
