If you're the type of person who's driven to roam far from the urban jungle, if rough and wild terrain is where you're most at home, the 2016 Jeep Wrangler wants to be your best friend!
Of course, when you leave the city behind, it becomes that much more important to have a vehicle you can count on, whatever road conditions may confront you. Named the 4X4 of the Decade by Four Wheeler magazine, the Jeep Wrangler can lay claim to being the most competent vehicle in its class.
Just makes the Wrangler so darned reliable?
Electronic Stability Control - Every Jeep Wrangler features this state-of-the-art system designed to allow you to maintain control of your vehicle. This is achieved through the inclusion of systems like hydraulic Brake Assist, all-speed Traction Control, electronic Roll Mitigation and Trailer Sway Control. These work together to monitor at all times your input in relation to the actual course of the vehicle.
Hill Start Assist - This system prevents you from rolling forward or backward when you're starting the vehicle while parked on an incline. For two seconds after you release the brake pedal, the car is kept fully immobile, giving you time to press the accelerator pedal.
Hill Descent Control - The available 5-speed automatic transmission comes with this great feature that automatically keeps your Wrangler moving at a safe and controlled speed on even the steepest declines.
Sport Bar - Attached to the B-pillar that runs into the floor of the Sport model of the 2016 Jeep wrangler is a sport bar that enhances protection in case of side impacts and makes the vehicle more solid all around.
Mid-Mounted Fuel Tank - The fuel tank in all versions of the new Wrangler is placed between the two sets of wheels for maximal protection against catastrophic damage. It also features a rugged 2.5mm protective skid plate to added further protection while off-roading.
Energy-Absorbing Front Rail Extensions - Hydroformed front rail tips that are collapsible serve to give your Wrangler low-speed impact protection. After impacts with speeds up to 13 km/h they can simply be serviced or replaced.
Heated Power Exterior Mirrors - Perfect for our Canadian winters, this available system allows you to melt ice and snow accumulating on your side-view mirrors while you heat up the interior of your Wrangler, and keep them clear while you drive.
Enhanced Accident Response System - Called EARS, this standard equipment allows emergency personnel to easily locate, see and reach anyone involved in an accident with a 2016 Wrangler. This system includes shutting off fuel flow after the vehicle is no longer moving, turning on hazard lights and the interior lights of the vehicle, and unlocking doors after deployment of any air bags.
